Eva Bonime
Eva Bonime joined the State Fiscal Project as State Project Associate in March 2010. Her work deals directly with State Fiscal Analysis Initiative organizations across the country and other nonprofit groups working on tax and budget issues.
Bonime has worked with local and state-level organizations on policy advocacy and organizing for more than 10 years. She was founding Executive Director of the Grassroots Institute of New Jersey and the New Jersey Working Families Alliance, which work to increase civic participation and advocate for responsible state policies. Prior to that, she worked at the Working Families Party in New York, where she led electoral and legislative efforts, including the successful campaign to raise New York’s minimum wage, and advised coalitions in other states. She previously served as an AmeriCorps/VISTA volunteer at the Passaic County Legal Aid Society in Paterson, developing outreach projects on the EITC and early childhood education. Bonime received a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.
